JULY 22th, 2005: My Company, St. Jude Medical
Center, sponsors The Fullerton Flyers, and so I got a
free Ticket to the game that Friday Night. They played my other favorite team, The Long Beach Armada. We were quite entertained
by both of the team mascots, Arby and Coal Train, the team mascots. We were also entertained by the Zooperstars Mascots, Harry
Canary, Ken Giraffie, Jr; Clammy Sosa, Derek Cheetah, and Dennis Frogman. Harry Canary came up to where I was sitting, and
fell on me, knocking my hat off. He was pretending to be drunk. Harry Canary also led us in the 7th Inning Stretch Song. Miss
Fullerton 2005 threw out one of the first pitches. The flyers
were beat by the Long Beach Armada, 7-4. There were two Home Runs hit during that game: one by The Armada, and one by the
Flyers.
AUGUST 3rd, 2005: I got in to watch the
Fullerton Flyers play the Surprise Fightin' Falcons for
one dollar. One of the highlights was when Rich Pohle smacked a home run. A collection hat was passed by a fan wearing a Fullerton Police Department Shirt. The Flyers lost the game
to Surprise by a score of 10-7. There were some young Dancers who provided some entertainment in between innings, Coal Train
provided a lot of family entertainment as well, especially for young kids.
AUGUST 24th, 2005: I was at a Toastmasters
Convention in Toronto Ontario (Canada). That Friday Night we all attended a Toronto Blue Jays Game at Skydome (now Rodgers
Centre). This was Batter Up Night at the Toastmasters Convention. I went wearing my Fullerton
Flyers Shirt and Cap, and I also brought along my Fullerton
Flyers Train Whistle.

JUNE 2006 SEASON:
JUNE 2006: Received 4 free vouchers from my Employer (St. Jude Medical Center) for Fullerton Flyers
Games.
JULY 14, 2006: I saw the Fullerton Flyers play for the first time of the 2006 Season at Blair Field.
Garry Templeton Jr. was back for the 2006 Season, and got two hits. Rich Pohle was also back, and drove in
a run. This game lasted 12 innings, and The Flyers lost to Long Beach 3 to 2.
JULY 15, 2006: This was the second time I got to see The Fullerton Flyers play (on The Island of Armada)
as The Fullerton Flyers played out of their heads, both in pitching and hitting. Brett Lever, Garry Templeton Jr; and Rich
Pohle, The first 3 batters for The Flyers, came on like Bullet Express Trains all evening. The Flyers shut out The Armada
6 to 0.
JULY 28, 2006:I used the first of four Game Vouchers given to me at St, Jude where I work. I received
a free Flyers Water Bottle and a free paperweight model of Goodwin Field at the game. The Fullerton Flyers defeated The Reno
Silver Sox 5 to one, ad Hector Zamora and Peanut Williams each smashed homeruns. I also received a souvenier bottle opener
from a very beautiful woman who was handing these bottle openers out to fans at Goodwin Field (her name is not known to me).
Coal Train the Mascot, Young Flyers Dancers, and Moto the Bat Boy also helped to keep everyone entertained.
AUGUST 4th, 2006:This was the second Home Game of the Fullerton Flyers I attended, where once again,
The Flyers defeated The Reno Silver Sox, this time by a score of 3 to 1. Joe Frazee batted in the winning run. Lter, Brett
Lever added an "Insurance run" knocking in Peanut Williams, Peanut got two hits, and two stolen bases during the course of
the game. This was a third consecutive win for The Flyers.
Coal Train and Moto the Bat Boy were back in their ussual entertaining form.Coal Train "Lost" his 28th Consecutive
Tug-of-war with the children. The Flyers Girls entertained us and led the fans in The Chicken Dance and The YMCA Dance.
AUGUST 10, 2006: This was "Thirsty Night" at Goodwin Field, where sodas where $1 a piece. I picked
up a Coal Train Bobblehead, to display with my Arby I Bobblehead.
The Armada maintained a lead over The Flyers until the bottom of the ninth. With 2 outs and the bases loaded,
The Flyers Catcher, Buddy Morales was this game's MVP, as heunloaded with a double. Armada Center Fielder, Ryan Webb made
a valiant dive for Buddy's well hit liner, but could quite come up with it. Buddy knocked in 3 runs with his walk off double,
and The Flyers ended up winning 3 to 2, putting them with in a half of a game from First Place. Flyers Player, Hector
Zamora, and the Team Managers for both teams were ejected from the gane for arguing with the unpires.
Free vouchers were handed out during the latter part of the gane, and some were offered to me; but, I
turned them down, as I still had a free voucher for a game the following week.
AUGUST 17. 2006: This was the beginning of two weeks vacation as I attended the come from behind victory
game of The Fullerton Flyers, as The Flyers defeated The San Diego Surf Dawgs 8 to 7. Jesse Schmitt got a walk off hit
batting in The winning runs in the bottom of the ninth inning. The Flyers scored 2 runs at the beginning of the game,
but The Surf Dawgs began a rally a couple of innings later, which was highlighted by a 3 run home hit by Nick Guerra
of The Surf Dawgs. The Flyers' Catcher, Buddy Morales was also in good hitting form that evening with three base
hits. This was the last of my free Game Vouchers I got from St. Jude, and The last GBL game I attended during the 2006 Season.
AUGUST 28th, 2006: The Flyers finish theiir regular season with a win against The Yuma
Scorpions, and advance to the Championshio Series against The Reno Silver Sox.
SEPTEMBER 2nd, 2006: The Reno Silver Sox defeat The Flyers three games to one to become the 2006 GBL
Champions.
